The SIOR Colorado chapter held its spring meeting at the Denver Country Club in April. More than 50 members and guests attended the event. The event covered chapter business including an update on the Front Range Scorecard by Peter Kast, SIOR. The featured speaker was Mr. Bill Owens, former Governor of Colorado. Mr. Owens served two terms as Governor ( 1999-2007 ) and was re-elected by the largest margin in Colorado history. He was elected by his peers to serve as Chair of both the Western Governors Association and the Republican Governors Association. Mr. Owens shared his insights on the current state of the local, national and international economies, and his business background leading up to his public service. Additionally, he discussed his role as Governor in attracting new businesses to the state.
